Artist Statement: ‘Light’ is the essence of this painting. The ephemeral sunrays sneak through a sea of clouds and cast a speckled glaze on the entire landscape: the trees, the meadows, and even the meandering path. Tiny gestural brush marks are used to highlight the effect of light.
